We had our 5th Pelican lake block party on Thursday night. I think only about 18 of us showed up, but we still had a good time. We had it again at Deacon's Lodge and the food was good.

I think we waited a little long to plan it and didn't give people enough notice ..... but that is how it goes some years. I have since then talked to many that couldn't attend, and they were all sorry, but lot of life going on everywhere.

A good time was had by all.

We had such a good time with Jerry and Christine and Austin. Austin fished a bit and he loved tubing. He never quite made it up skiing...but gave it a good go. We had some great dinners and did a little shopping and Nancy learned a few beading tricks from Christine. I think they had

a really good time.

Nancy came to visit from Illinois and we had a really nice time. We shopped....beaded...quilted...and ate!!! Of course it goes without saying we drank!

For my birthday we went out to Norway Ridge for dinner with Jeff and Peggi. We always have a fun, silly time with them. It is nice that they live on the lake...within boating distance.

Peggi got me a funny thing that looks like a cat that a plant sits in...it is so cute...it's eye's glow in the sunlight. It is the first picture on top.

More friends and visitors to post so better move on.

It was a fun time to have Jac and Grayson here. Jackie was a little bummed that she couldn't be here over the 4th, but we made up for it this weekend. Grayson absolutely LOVES the water. He just swam around in that floaty toy for about 30 minutes or more. He was being such a ham too, sticking out his tongue.

We decided to have a few neighbors over for dinner...all wanted to eat brother Davey's fish and see the baby. Plus, we might not get another free weekend due to company and busy schedules. We sure miss not having Mike and Suzanne next door. Gets a little quiet when the kids don't show up any more. We were so used to them coming over to visit. :( Oh well, we boat down to their new house now and still see them quite often. We had a very nice dinner and the company was great!

skiing went by and tried to spray us.

We had two days of great water volleyball. Almost everyone

was in on it. Syd and David were our ball retrievers.

What a serve!!!! LOL

The kids in the am would get up and be at their

creative best with Kinex and Legos! I couldn't

believe the things that were made before breakfast.

making them???? She got hit with a soccer ball and hairline

fractured her arm.

The whole crew... 17 of us this day...and we were still missing

2 other brothers, Jackie, Brady and Grayson.

It was a blast but it was crazy. Lots of people, food, and fun. We had great weather...started out a little windy, but not humid and very warm. I think we were all very water logged by the end of the weekend. Ryan and Amber really got fried....I think that the water volleyball was so fun, that we didn't pay attention to the sunscreen. Ouch! Chris, Jen and the kids left on Tuesday, and after some serious cleaning....I took a long nap Tuesday afternoon. I am getting older!!!
