Last days at RiverBend

Rick Brokus and Bob Brenner
Both from Michigan, the Grand Rapids area.
Left to right...Sue, Joyce, Sandy and Cindy.
Sue Pendley from Maggie Valley.NC, Joyce McClellan from
Andover, VT, Sandy Brenner from Wayland, MI, and
Cindy Brokus from Allegan, MI

Austin Pendley and Bob Brenner

Jeff McClellan and John
All these guys and a few that had already left were our neighbors this season. Jim and Susan Lockwood from Bowling Green, KY and Tami and Frank from Binghamton, NY are already gone. We had many nights where we would have grill outs and everyone just contributed whatever food they could make. It was always so fun and the food was very good.
I think the thing that is so interesting is what all these people did for career's. Jeff and Joyce owned McDonald's franchise's. Bob Brenner was a school superintendent and his wife Sandy was a nurse. Austin and Sue own a store in Maggie Valley, NC that they still continue to work May through October. 7 days a week from 8 till 9pm. It is amazing. Rick and Cindy Brokus own car washes. They sold all of them except one that their son is trying to run.
Well, we are in Red Bay, Alabama getting some work done on the coach, but we are slowly making our way back to Minnesota. Mixed feelings but miss my family and friends. It would be hard to have a more fun winter...would have been much more fun if we didn't have the stress of the business downturn. All until later.

Looking forward to your return! I survived the Easter marathon and am now getting into the spring concert mode. There's a new coffee shop in Cannon that we will have to hit when you get back! Save travels....
