What do we have here sitting on this rock?
I took this from the car window.
I have to start this blog by saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROTHER DAVID!" You're catching up to me! There, that's done. :)
Today we drove to Red Rock Canyon. It is so beautiful and the many different color and types of mountains all in the same area is quite stunning. There were a couple different groups of people that were climbing...free style. If you look at that craggy mountain it seems it would be easy to climb, but then think of the height and ....no for this chi ca!
After we toured the mountains we decided to go over and visit Linda (John's sales manager) sister who lives here in Henderson, a suburb of Vegas. We saw her last year when her and Linda and their other sister were in Glacier. It was such a nice visit. We learned a lot about family and her husband who passed several years ago. I think he and my fathers life paralleled quite a bit.
Janet had just bought a hand saw on an extension pole, hadn't even gotten it together, so John and I helped assemble it and then we put John to work! He sawed off a number of limbs that would have been difficult for her.
We had tickets for Mama Mia tonight! It was awesome. I didn't realize how many ABBA songs I really knew! Got home around 10:30 and watched a little TV...the country music awards.
Prime time doesn't end until 11:00 here...just like the east coast.
