November 8, 2008 Laughlin, NV

We are in Lauglin, NV and it only took us 3 hours to get here. The scenery is awesome. The way the roads have been cut through these mountains.
Our RV park is way up on top of a hill that looks down over the city. Laughlin is not a very big city. I took some day pictures, but they didn't turn out very well, so will re-take them tomorrow. John got these night pictures. You would think you're in Vegas if you didn't know better.
Today we went to the grocery store and Lowe's for a few things. Then this afternoon I helped John wash one side of "the Beast". You realize how big it is when you wash it!! It is so dusty out here...we probably should have waited, but I think we'll be in the desert for a while. Tomorrow am we will wash the other side because it is out of the sun.
We were cooking fish tonight, thanks to brother David, and John went to close the door to the coach because the charcoal was coming in and out of nowhere, the glass in the door shattered.
It took us at least 30 minutes to pick the shards of glass out of the dirt!! Wonder when we'll ever get that fixed????? Such is life.
We took a walk around the RV Park tonight. The temperature is just perfect. No sweater or jacket, just short sleeves and shorts. It did get to 86 today. Beats Minnesota weather eh?
Tomorrow (after we wash the Beast) we are going to drive to the town of Oatman. Sister Sharon told us we HAD to go see it...so we are. We will probably go to some casinos too and to dinner.

Amazing photo's - I've never been to Vegas, just Reno and Tahoe, and that was with Bruce, so you know it's been years. Looks beautiful and am jealous of that great weather. It looks like snow here, but so far, none!!!
